Austin, TX – August 15, 2007 – The 2ND STREET DISTRICT is throwing itself a birthday bash with an evening of live entertainment, food, cocktails and a spectacular shopping event. Thursday, August 23, from 5 to 10 pm, the District is turning up the music, pouring drinks, and giving away the farm – kind of.
Two blocks of the city’s best, distinctly Austin retailers have donated a stylish grand prize giveaway worth more than $2,000. Shoppers can register once at each store they visit during the event for chances to win this ultimate style spree—just in time to perk up wardrobe, home and spirits for fall.
Schedule of Events:
· Party kicks off at 5 pm with live entertainment throughout the District
· 6 pm live photo booth & face painting by the Austin Children’s Museum
· 8 pm Champagne birthday toast, cupcakes from Delish Cupcakes and Pacuigo gelato in front of Cru Wine Bar
· 10 pm Drawing for Grand Prize Style Spree
